THE 5 simple tips to be a happier Digger
I’m a digg user since January 2006, but wasn’t very active until about a week or two and I start to get overwhelmed by this big power of crowds, so I told to myself that —just like I do in programming, I have to “design” a way of using digg in a healthy and reasonable way. After some hours, here are some of the obvious thing one should keep in mind and practice to be a happier digger.
1# Establish a list of things you don’t want to digg
That’s true, sometimes we just don’t want to share our opinions on some subjects that simply don’t interest us, annoy us or that we consider worthless. Never be hypocrite with yourself, that’s depressing. Set a page in your site and tell people that you’re not interested in politics, adult stuff, or whatever. If you don’t have a website, simply say this in your profile.
(Me, cafefort , don’t have any interest in anything that is not either: computer related, funny, life-style things, tech or science)
2# Be cool. Take it easy.
Other diggers mostly don’t know who you are and don’t care. This is not bad! Take it easy, if you comment on something don’t bother and don’t give much importance to insults and useless flames. Say what you got to say and be a nice snob.
3# Use programs and tools.
You’re a human, you just can’t do everything by yourself. Use RSS readers to keep you informed with your real friends and liked topics submissions. A lot of other tools are available out there and there’s many websites already talking about them. Look for the most useful among them and use them.
4# Don’t be an addict.
That’s stupid! Life is so beautiful to be spent in tracking your submissions on digg. Stop begging people to digg your stories, take it easy! yo! Real friends are those who share interesting things with you, not just those who digg automatically everything that you submit.
5# Be smart. Think wide.
Everyone knows that a story dugg by people that are not your friends on digg are more interesting to digg, than those which are dugg by your digg-friends. What to do? Easy: Build your networks outside, think about other social networks websites, build good and sincere friendship and whenever you need promotion for something, just tell about your story to these friends and they’ll happily help you. This is how to be successful and enjoy life.
That’s it friends, remember one simple thing, when you find yourself wasting your time and nerves on worthless habits, that you really can
((((DO SOMETHING!) SMALL) USEFUL) NOW!)
P.S. Please, bear with me on my poor English, if you notice any error please report it to me and I’ll correct it and btw improve my English which is my 4th langage

I enjoyed your list – I’m curious – are you saying if someone is on your friends list Digg weights that less somehow? Still learning myself – appreciate any insights!
